One week later...
Shizuko KawauchiExcuse me!
RyujiIt's you?!
Shizuko KawauchiIt's been a while.
ChitoseAh, about the case... Well...erm...
Shizuko KawauchiThat's why I'm here!
RyujiSo you've come to settle the score? Fine, we deserve to be punished for letting you down.
Shizuko KawauchiNo, you've got it all wrong! I've come to thank you!
Shizuko KawauchiCome on in, Toshio!
Toshio InoiHi. Thanks for your help the other day.
Shizuko KawauchiGood news! We're engaged!
Player?!?!
ChitoseBut last time we saw you, it was as if you were in a trance or something...
Toshio InoiYeah, I was obsessed with that idol.
Toshio InoiBut I realized why I became so obsessed with her.
Toshio InoiI don't know why it took me so long to see it.
Toshio InoiI'm still a fan of Natsume. That hasn't changed.
Toshio InoiBut I remembered why I became a fan in the first place.
RyujiWhy was that?
Toshio InoiBecause she looks like Shizuko!
ChitoseHuh?!
Toshio InoiAnyway, we've got something special planned today. We should get going.
Shizuko KawauchiYou did a great job. I'll transfer payment soon.
Shizuko KawauchiBye, and thanks again!
ChitoseWhat was he talking about?
RyujiNatsume didn't look like Shizuko, did she?
ChitoseNo, nothing like her.
RyujiWhat's going on?
ErikaIt looks like my plan worked.
ChitoseErika! Did you hear what he said?!
RyujiWhat did you do?
ErikaIt's like I said, the best thing for people like that is to bring them back to reality.
ErikaI just changed what he was looking at.
RyujiWhat do you mean?
ErikaHe spent all day in his room, staring at videos and pictures.
ErikaSo I hacked his computer and changed them, very gradually so he didn't notice.
ErikaI morphed Natsume Keshikawa's face into Shizuko's face in all the pictures, and cut images of her face into the videos for a subliminal effect.
ErikaDo you understand now?
ChitoseSo you made him think it's Shizuko he's in love with...
ErikaThat makes it sound so sinister. I didn't make him think it. The love he feels is real.
ErikaThen I called Shizuko and asked her to go and see him.
ErikaYou can guess the rest.
RyujiAnd after everything you said to Lotosmon about brainwashing?
ErikaThe British have a saying about this.
Erika"All is fair in love and war."
ChitoseErika, you're even scarier than Lotosmon!
