Chapter 03: Demonslaying (HM) 17 HM

RyujiWe got our next case from Zaxon. It's an account raider named--

Ryuji...Erika, what is that?

WormmonI'm Wormmon! Nice ta meetcha!

ErikaHe's my Digimon. I picked him up.

ChitoseAnd here I thought you weren't the least bit interested in Digimon. Why the change of heart?

ErikaThings happened.

WormmonErika and Player saved me when I was all lost on my own!

WormmonErika said I could stay with her until I figure out my way back to the Digital World!

ChitoseDigital World? What's that? Some kind of area?

ErikaIt's this guy's home. He says it's another world that all Digimon come from.

ChitoseSay what? Ha ha, is he for real?! What a weird Digimon you got there.

WormmonBut it's tuh-rooooo!

Ryuji...It sure talks a lot. Is this your doing?

ErikaNope, he's been like this since I found him.

Ryuji...Well, as long as you take good care of it.

RyujiBack to the job. We're going after the mastermind behind the recent account raiding.

ChitoseWe got some intel from Zaxon.

ChitoseSeems there's some nasty character using hackers like Shiga to round up accounts.

ChitoseIn other words, we'll have to take him out if we're gonna stop the account raiding.

RyujiWe stole the device info when we checked out Shiga's Digivice.

RyujiThe transmission log between Shiga and the mastermind is encrypted. We couldn't get any specifics, but we did get a name.

RyujiThe name of the mastermind is...Mephisto.

WormmonMephisto? That's a weird name.

ErikaIt's an alias. If you ask me, you're the one with the weird name.

WormmonMine's not weird! And if it is, then Erika is a weird name, too!

Ryuji...First, we have to find a way to get in contact with this Mephisto.

RyujiI need you two to scrounge up info on our target. Chitose, you do it here in the real world. Erika, on the net.

ErikaGot it.

ChitoseAye aye, captain!

RyujiYou and I will log in and make direct contact with hacker teams that may have a connection to him.

Ryuji...You're our new "whack." If you find out where he is, you "blitz" him right then and there.

RyujiYou better be ready.

Wormmon...Tha'...that's so kewl!
