Chapter 15: Rescue and Return (HM) 15 HM
ErikaWhy are you all sticky? And what's that weird smell?
ErikaWhatever it is, just don't get my room dirty.
ErikaIf you get that sticky stuff on my Memetan, I'll delete the hair from your avatar.
ErikaThen I'll pixelate you and make sure you can never set foot in public ever again.
玩家...!
Erika……待续
ErikaYou look fine. I thought you were much more depressed.
ErikaBut you look ready for action.
玩家?
ErikaI've finally analyzed the paper that Akemi Suedou gave me.
ErikaI'm just entering the necessary data into the terminal. We'll start when I'm done.
ErikaWe're going to help Chitose next.
玩家?!
ErikaAfter reading the information from Suedou, I finally know what happened to Chitose.
ErikaHis mental data has been assimilated by an Eater.
玩家...?!
ErikaTake a look at this. It's Suedou's paper about Eaters.
玩家……待续
ErikaYou don't understand it, do you? I know.
ErikaBasically, Eaters act like data gathering devices.
ErikaThey collect data and send it somewhere. That's their main behavioral pattern.
ErikaEDEN Syndrome results from an error that occurs when a human's mental data that has been converted to information is absorbed by an Eater.
ErikaThe mental data is then sent via the Eater network to the core Mother Eater in the Digital World. That's what his paper says.
虫虫兽In the Digital World?!虫虫兽So if we can get Chitose's mental data back from there, he'll wake up!ErikaIf we can believe what Suedou's written, that is.
ErikaI don't know Suedou's objective, but I'll use any information that will help get Chitose back.
ErikaThere's not much we can do without him.
ErikaBut I can't persuade my brother...
虫虫兽Erika...玩家……待续
虫虫兽I understand. Okay, let's do it! In this case, I'm willing to trust Suedou!虫虫兽I know what Ryuji would say at a time like this.虫虫兽"Being a hacker is all about taking risks!"Erika……待续
虫虫兽How was that? Did I sound just like him?ErikaNot even close.
虫虫兽Come on!ErikaIt was actually painful to hear.
虫虫兽Oh...ErikaHehehe!
玩家……待续
ErikaThen let's get this show on the road. First we need to find a route to the Mother Eater.
虫虫兽A route?ErikaIt's like you said when we first met.
ErikaThere's a place in EDEN that's connected to the Digital World. That's where you fell from.
ErikaI'm certain it's a junction between EDEN and the Digital World.
ErikaWe can use it as a route to the Mother Eater.
虫虫兽For a moment there, I was worried we'd have to make our own route. This sounds much easier!ErikaIf we follow the Eater network back, we should get direct access to the Mother Eater.
虫虫兽Great! Is that what Suedou's paper says?ErikaNo, this is my idea.
ErikaHe wrote about a different way of getting to the Mother Eater, but I couldn't decipher it.
ErikaDo you remember where the junction is?
虫虫兽Erm...erm... Hold on. It's been a while since I used this memory.虫虫兽I fell into this world when I was really small, so my memory isn't very clear.虫虫兽But I vaguely remember a big stuffed toy. The place looked like a park.玩家...!
玩家Junk Plaza! The community area? I have no idea.
虫虫兽Yeah! That's the place! That's where I fell into this world!虫虫兽No, it wasn't there.ErikaI think it might have been Junk Plaza.
ErikaIt's abandoned now, but it used to be the entrance to EDEN. My brother told me about it.
虫虫兽Yeah! That's the place! That's where I fell into this world!ErikaYou can do better than that.
ErikaCould it have been Junk Plaza?
ErikaIt's abandoned now, but it used to be the entrance to EDEN. My brother told me about it.
虫虫兽Yeah! That's the place! That's where I fell into this world!虫虫兽Then let's go to Junk Plaza!虫虫兽This is so exciting!虫虫兽Saving a friend from the lair of an evil monster! That's just the kind of treacherous mission that calls for a hacker Digimon!虫虫兽Hang on, Chitose! Wormmon the Vanguard is coming for you!ErikaHacker Digimon? What's a Vanguard? Why's he so excited?
ErikaI just hope he doesn't tire himself out too soon. He seems to be getting more and more clumsy, ever since he came to this world.
虫虫兽Ouch!ErikaSee what I mean.
ErikaAnyway, I'll see you at Junk Plaza.
