Chapter 15: Parallel World 21

OmnimonI see... Kentaurosmon? A formidable foe.

OmnimonWe can only try to match Kentaurosmon's speed with our own speed.

OmnimonThe optimal choice would have to be UlforceVeedramon, with his incredible swiftness.

KyokoHmm... Of course it would have to be UlforceVeedramon.

KyokoActually, UlforceVeedramon is the only one whose signal I haven't been able to detect anywhere.

OmnimonI can find no trace of him either. It's likely the Dimensional Door closed as he was crossing between dimensions. He may be gone.

OmnimonIt's unfortunate. He surely would have been an ally.

KyokoIt might be too early to give up on him.

KyokoHave you heard of the theory of multidimensional space? Or, to put it in more plain terms, the idea of parallel worlds?

KyokoThe basic idea is that there are countless worlds overlapping one another, one for every different possibility.

KyokoAnd so every time something happens in one world, a new reality branches off, containing the other possibility.

KyokoParallel worlds are independent from one another. It's not possible to interfere with them.

KyokoOr so it's believed. There is a similar structure we know quite well.

OmnimonYou mean your "real" world and our Digital World?

KyokoIndeed! They didn't intersect before, but now they do.

KyokoIt no longer seems to be the rule that the various worlds can't come into contact with each other.

OmnimonSo then UlforceVeedramon could be brought over from a different parallel world. Is that what you're saying?

KyokoPrecisely. Normally we'd never do this, but it's worth a try.

KyokoI know someone who knows a thing or two.

KyokoHer name is Mirei Mikagura. Fortunately, she also lives here in Nakano.

KyokoEven so. If we verify this, the possibility arises that Eaters could be come here from another world. From a parallel world.

KyokoIt's just a conjecture. There are other, more important, things to do now.

KyokoGo and talk to Mirei Mikagura. She should know something.
