ChitoseSorry to make you come all the way out here, but I can't take too long a break when I'm working.
PlayerHmm?
ChitoseYou think I just work part-time for Hudie?
ChitoseWrong! I'm an engineer...an engineer! I just help out there when I can!
ChitoseRyuji and Erika are pretty sloppy running the place, right? There are always holes in the shifts, and they need me to fill in a lot.
ChitoseIt's not like I'm asking the part-timers there,
"Mind if I take your shift?". Okay?
"Mind if I take your shift?". Okay?
ChitoseI figured it'd be bad if our team lost its hangout, so I went and pitched in. Get it?
ChitoseSo? What d'ya need?
ChitoseThe Cyber Crimes Investigation Unit? Are you serious? Not Matayoshi's place again...
ChitoseEven if it's a request from Zaxon, breaking into the police department is bad news... I'd be nervous, too.
ChitoseBut well, it'll probably be fine.
ChitoseWe owe Matayoshi big time. Ryuji won't do anything too bad.
Player...?
ChitoseOh, I guess I didn't tell you.
ChitoseSee, we got arrested by Matayoshi.
Player?!
ChitoseIt was a few years ago. A sneaky hacker got some vulnerable info on me, and I was gettin' blackmailed.
ChitoseI tried to steal the info back from the hacker, but fell into a trap myself.
ChitoseRyuji was a hacker himself back then, and he got mixed up in it while trying to help me out.
ChitoseWe both wound up gettin' nabbed by the cops. The detective in charge back then was Matayoshi.
ChitoseHe's one of those old-timer types. Big into long lectures, bigger into fists. Anyway, we explained the situation to him...
Chitose"You're a good man, doing all that for a friend!" He actually praised us!
ChitoseHe put us in protective custody instead of really bringing down the hammer. Then he went out on his own and pinched the guy who was blackmailing me.
ChitoseThat's why we owe him...big time.
ChitoseSo don't worry too much. Ryuji won't do anything to cause him trouble.
Player...
ChitoseYou say Ryuji is acting weird...? Well, now you got me worried, too.
Chitose...Oh well, I guess I got no choice. I'll look into it.
PlayerHuh?
ChitoseRyuji. I'll check up on him for ya. It'll ease your mind, right?
ChitoseDo me a favor. Slow him down for me. Tell him you got another job or something.
Player?!
ChitoseDon't worry. I'll come back before you break into the server. Catch ya later!
Player(...Chitose, what are you planning?)
Player(Anyway, I better get back to Hudie.)
