Chapter 13: Tokyo Digification 3

LopmonUm, so, I've lost my friend Tokomon.

LopmonHe's so small, and now he's lost. Please help me look for Tokomon!

DateI found Lopmon just wandering the streets. I couldn't just leave him out there.

DateAnd then I thought about you guys. You're good with this sort of weird case, right?

DateThere are cases like this all over Tokyo now. It's pandemonium out there. Even us police officers aren't sure what to do.

DateBut then, I came across this little fella. I can understand him. He's not violent. And...

DateHe's so... so... He's so gosh-darned cute!

DateHey! Did you just laugh at me?

DateSorry for, um, breaking character like that!

DateAnyway, it's not like me to just take it out on them because they're Digimon.

DateHe's harmless and in trouble, so I let him tag along with me.

LopmonExcuse me, but there are lots of kinds of Digimon. Calm ones, wild ones...

DateNever mind that. The same is true for humans, after all.

DateBut lemme touch your ears later... How'd they get so fluffy? I bet they're so soft!

DateOops!

DateAnyway! I've got to go help out at Matayoshi's place.

DateI'm leaving Lopmon with you! Keep an eye on him! Got that?

Kyoko's VoiceA client is a client, whether human or Digimon. No matter what!

DateThank you! The rest is up to you. Make him cry and I'll never forgive you!

DateOh, yeah. Matayoshi told me to tell you something.

DateYour friend... Arata, I think his name was? A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

DateWell, he's now on the national wanted list.

DateSome top-brass idiots think that Arata was the key figure behind all of this weirdness.

DateDon't get me wrong. Matayoshi went above and beyond to try to clear things up.

DateBut it was in one ear and out the other. When Arata ran, he looked even more suspicious.

DateHey, don't worry! Matayoshi is on it. It'll all work out in the end!

DateI was a brat sometimes too when I was a kid. Just look after that fella for me, okay?

DateThere was a reason behind what you did, right? Then don't fret! Matayoshi doesn't give up on people just like that.

DateSee you later! Look after the little guy for me!

LopmonYour friend is lost too?

LopmonWe'll look together, then! We'll find them, I'm sure!

LopmonOkay! Now that that's decided, let's go friend- searching!
