Erika...Are you okay?

Rescued DigimonUnnngh...

Rescued DigimonHyaaaaaaaaaahhh! Now it's a hacker!

ErikaWhat's with that reaction? We just saved you, you know.

Rescued DigimonWho...who are you?

ErikaDon't move.

Rescued Digimon...!

ErikaThere, I've healed your wounds. I just mimicked what my brother would do... Are you better now?

Rescued DigimonYeah! Thanks a bunch! You guys're good hackers, ain't ya!

Rescued DigimonI'm Wormmon! Nice ta meetcha!

ErikaI guess Digimon attack each other, too, huh?

Wormmon...It's all my fault.

WormmonI was wandering around Kowloon when I slipped and fell. That Digimon was there, and it freaked me out, so I launched my special move, Sticky Net...

Erika...Yeah, that's definitely your fault.

WormmonOoo...I'm always like this...

WormmonI was always chased by strong Digimon in my hometown, too...

WormmonI ran off, and before I knew it I'd ended up here. I don't remember how to get home... I'm lost.

ErikaHometown? For Digimon?

WormmonA-yup. My hometown's called the "Digital World."

Player...!

Erika...The "Digital World"?

WormmonYeah, it's a world separate from this one. Say, this is the human world, right?

ErikaOur world? This is EDEN, a virtual space created by humans.

WormmonI thought so...

WormmonI don't know much about it, but I'd heard there's a place where the Digital World overlaps with the human world.

WormmonThe two worlds weren't connected in the beginning, but intersected at some point...

WormmonI had to've used that connection to get over here, too...

Erika...Are you sure you're not bugging out?

WormmonHuh?! Why would you say something like that?!

ErikaThere's no way there's another world. It just can't be true.

WormmonI'm not bugging out! The Digital World DOES exist!

ErikaHmm... What do you think?

PlayerI believe it. I don't believe it... Who knows? Not me.

WormmonEh heh heh! Thanks a bunch!

Erika...I think it's a bit hasty to believe such an absurd story so soon.

ErikaOf course you wouldn't. Hey you, did you hit your head when you fled that Digimon attack?

WormmonI'm not THAT clumsy! ...I mean, it's true that I slipped and fell, but...

Player...

Erika...

WormmonOh no... Will no one believe my story?

WormmonThe Digital World really exists, honest!

WormmonAll of the Digimon in this virtual space came from the Digital World, just like me!

ErikaWell... It's true that no one knows the engineer who created the Digimon.

ErikaAs programs, they're too perfect to have just formed spontaneously...

ErikaStill, it couldn't be...

Erika...

Wormmon...So ya don't believe me, do ya? Fine, I give up.

Erika...I didn't say I don't believe you.

WormmonSo...!

ErikaI didn't say I believe you, either. Let's table this for now. There's not enough information to verify your claim.

WormmonEh heh heh. Still, happy to hear it! You're a nice one, ain'tcha!

Erika...No. I'm not.

WormmonBut now what should I do? I wanna go back to the Digital World, but I don't know how...

ErikaIt's not like we know the answer. What do you want to do about it?

WormmonMe?

WormmonWell, I...

Erika...Just to be clear, don't go counting on me. I don't care about Digimon in the least.

Wormmon...

Erika...

Wormmon...

Erika...Uh.

Wormmon...

Erika...Unngh.

Erika...Wanna come with me?

WormmonHuh?

ErikaIf you have nowhere else to go, then you can come with me...until you figure out how to get home.

WormmonWowie, honest?! Thanks a bunch! I was so lonely by myself! Hip hip hooraaaay!

Erika...He broke me down.

Player...

Erika...What're you looking at?

ErikaWhat was I supposed to do? It's not like I could leave him on his own.

ErikaHe's so happy...and he talks a lot, for a Digimon. And he's so clumsy... What a weird kid.

ErikaStill...

Erika...there's something interesting about him.

Erika...

Player?

Erika...Thank you for saving him. And, um...

ErikaSorry...for hitting you with Memetan.

Player...!

ErikaBut, but if you come in my room again without knocking you'll get the same! Hey, Wormmon! C'mon!

WormmonOkie-dokie!
