FechaHeh, you really solved it. How the heck did you do it?

FechaEspecially seeing as it was such a bizarre case!

FechaWe followed up on your report and found all the people who were missing. They're safe, but none of them have any memory of what happened.

FechaAnd the perpetrator has fallen unconscious. Seems she's a victim of EDEN Syndrome.

FechaSo now I don't have anyone to question! What's with all these bizarre cases lately?!

FechaAnd then you...! You really don't know anything? Huh?!

Jugador...!!!

FechaRgh! Whenever I learn any good intel, somehow it always gets back to Matayoshi.

FechaI'll let things slide this time!

FechaAll right, get going! Get out of here before Matayoshi shows up!

FechaOh, and thanks for your help!

ArataEDEN Syndrome? Nishino?!

ArataWhen the Eater attacked Nishino, she must have contracted EDEN Syndrome.

ArataEaters consume data...

ArataIf, say, humans could exist in a semi-digital form within the Digital Shift...

ArataNishino could have been partially consumed. Maybe it just ate her consciousness in data form.

Jugador!

JugadorWhich means that... The cause of EDEN Syndrome is... Eaters?!

ArataYour avatar... your mental data, is devoured by an Eater in EDEN, but your physical body remains in the real world.

ArataThat's what EDEN Syndrome is!

ArataWhat can we then do to cure it? If we defeat an Eater, does the data it gobbled up come back out?

ArataNo, we defeated that Eater, but Nishino is still unconscious.

ArataIt's no good! We just don't know enough! We need to find Suedou and ask him!

ArataFor now, I'm going to go looking after the Eaters some more. See you around.

Jugador...

JugadorThere's no cure for EDEN Syndrome? Then that means that my body is going to...

Jugador...

JugadorYeah, I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that!
